I would always pass by this place on my way to work with my fiancé and we finally decided to try this out tonight. The outside never really intrigued us but we had just got off work (2:30 am) and it was still open to our surprise. We said screw it and decided to try it out and I am very happy we did! It's a very small space but empty when we arrived. The server was nice as well as the gentleman with the long pony tail. I ordered the spicy ramen and avocado rolls but they were out of avocado. Didn't really bug me since it was late and I knew I wasn't gonna finish my food.
Once my plate arrived it was huge!! I thought it was a lot of food for the price. I shared with my fiancé and got full AND still had some to take home. The only thing is that it was a bit too spicy but that can be changed next time I visit. We will definitely be coming back. Loved the food here and service, definitely recommend for you to check out :) -

I do t usually give while I'm utilizing the service, but this ramen and this spot is worth a great review. I live nearby and I realized that after a long day, I wa getting kinda hungry. I usually go to the other Ramen spot across the street from here, but since it was a bit packed, I decided to go to Isa, and I'm so glad I did.
The ramen here is flavorful without it being overpowering, and the ingredients that go with it our very fresh. For the price, you get a nice sized bowl of it, I ordered the miso and I was amazed how savory it is and how it wasn't as salty as miso ramen in other restaurants.
The staff here is very welcoming, and offered their house recommendation, and once again, I was happy to go by it. Btw, I love their music playlist, good to hear that the late great Nipsey Hussle is loved by his international fans.
I will be back sooner (maybe sooner than you think ). -

I'm updating my review after trying the Isa Ramen (with extra noodles). I really enjoyed the Okinawan Ramen before but the Isa Ramen is in a whole other league... rich, complex, flavorful soup broth and eggs, succulent chicken (tastes like it's marinated in ginger and soy sauce), chewy noodles, and I really love the ginger topping. The portion size is out of this world (is that a foot long diameter bowl?!).
Isa Ramen is a family-owned business and everyone there speaks Japanese. It feels a little like a restaurant you might find in Japan - bit of a crowded countertop and small space but you're not there for the ambiance, you're there for the food!
The prices are great, they have a small parking lot, and the restaurant is open until 4 am!! There are very few late-late night restaurants in LA. I totally appreciate that such a small mom-and-pop type store can stay open so la -

This hit the spot!
I went with 3 friends and we got the Tokyo, Crazy Spicy, and Isa Ramen bowls, all of them were goooood. They were open after an event we went too so it was super convenient and it really hit the spot. Will be going here again. Great customer service provided by Lorena. -

Japanese food in a converted shack. Came here on a Friday night for dinner with a friend. There was no AC so it was a bit humid/hot inside but there's some seating outside. The place is small but people were respectful of noise levels and you can have a good conversation. There's top 40 music playing in the background and the place was popping considering it's off the beaten path. The food was alright but portions were generous for the prices. Pre-tip it was $13.13 for a split check for tempura udon and beef udon (and on Friday at 13th nonetheless). The udon noodles came out quickly but the fish cakes were a bit cold. The broth also was more on the lukewarm side. The tempura udon has 3 tempura shrimps and 2 tempura shishito peppers (which have a lot of seeds in them). There is a bathroom on the right when you go outside, but it's the white door - it's not around the restaurant. If you go around, you'll go to the kitchen area. There is some parking spots available and they do take credit cards (you can also split the bill). They give you a water jug for you to serve yourself which I thought was helpful.
